Beautiful beads...

Beadwork is
one of my hobbies. It lets me indulge magpie-ish
tendencies to collect shiny and pretty things. It
also lets me create things with small dots of colour
and light.
It can be contemplative and restful, it can be fun, and it can be frustrating - tiny beads, knotted thread...
I like seed beads, semi-precious beads and lampworked beads. As far as lampworked beads go, I support UK glassworkers exclusively. I buy my beads from UK shops, either physical or virtual. Beads are gaining in popularity in this country (two new UK bead mags started recently), and people need to support it help it to grow. This isn't a hair-shirt attitude - there is good stuff to bought here.
The links on the left are related to beads and beadwork - places I shop, galleries of my work, how-to's I've written, and so on.
